Weaps
Kevin is a second-generation native Angeleno. As CEO of Revver his job is to lead the impressive Revver team to continue Revver's track record of innovation as the first marketplace for online video creators, syndicators, and advertisers.
Kevin's entire career has been about technology, creating products, and building teams. His passion for developing products started at an early age. In 1976 he built one of the earliest microcomputer kits and began his long programming career in assembly language. As a software engineer at Steve Jobs' NeXT Computer in the early 90's he worked on NeXTSTEP, which is the foundation of Mac OS X today.
Kevin's experience with media companies started at Disney Online, where he built Disney's first e-commerce team and The Disney Store Online in 1996. His broad management experience includes leading the R&D group at MiniMed to create the latest waterproof insulin pump. Before joining Revver, Kevin spent two years as a consultant and advisor to Naverus, an aviation technology startup company that is changing the face of commercial aviation in Tibet and other developing regions.
In addition to creating products, Kevin's other passions are the environment, aviation, and travel. For the last 12 years, he has led Santa Monica-based Environment Now. The foundation, known as the SWAT Team of the environment, takes environmental issues head on by fighting to protect water and air quality and forests in California.
Kevin earned his pilot's license at age 19, and has been flying airplanes and helicopters ever since. His love of flying and travel has taken him on flying trips throughout the Western Hemisphere.
Kevin graduated from Stanford University with degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering and an MBA. He lives in West Los Angeles with his wife and their two giant Swiss Mountain Dogs, Maverick and Ripley.
