PACIFIC Ocean (May 6, 2008) - USNS MERCY (T-AH 19) Sailors aboard the Military Sealift Command Hospital Ship conduct a FOD walk down prior to setting flight quarters. An MH-60/S helicopter known as the Knighthawk passes MERCY along the portside. HSC-21 (Blackjacks) is the embarked aircrew. On March 1, 2008, the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Hospital Sip USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) departed San Diego, Calif. , in support of Pacific Partnership 2008, to conduct various humanitarian civic assistance missions in the Republic of Philippines, Vietnam, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea and the Federated States of Micronesia.
