This "Thelma & Louise"-esque ending is probably one of the strangest (and most forcedly tacled-on by Brazilian censorship) endings of any of José Mojica Marins movies, back in 1984. It's sad that the original negative was lost and the only remaining elements are in such a bad shape (out of sync, faded, etc). One day we'll find a pristine copy and release it on DVD. On a side note, the car crash was used over and over on that very unfunny SNL skit about the cat who could drive a car.
