This song was written to commerate the accidental ingestion of massive quantities of LSD by the 40,000 participants in a lemonade tasting festival held in Liebert Park in Montreal in the summer of 1969. Many people disagree with what was stated in the now famous prize winning documentary of that event. It seems the Lsd was diluted into the huge water silos that were used to mix the magic lemonade by an angry person who was upset that he was unable to get tickets to attend the Woodstock festival.
