The Rhapsody Music Service has a Playlist Central department that provides a central forum for subscribers to publish Playlists that they create. Currently, Playlist Central postings can only be submitted from within a standalone Rhapsody application, which must be downloaded and run on a Windows computer. Published playlists show up nearly instantly in the Rhapsody application's Playlist Central listings. Unfortunately, it can take longer than a week for a new Playlist to show up in the listings on the Rhapsody website. This video demonstrates that its possible to run the Windows Rhapsody application within a Windows virtual machine running on a Mac, and shows how this can be used to publish a Playlist to Playlist Central. We also demonstrate how to publish a Rhapsody playlist to the Playlists department of the SongTrellis website. The Playlists department instantly indexes new submissions, and creates a page that provides a link to launch and display a published Playlist.
