I played the game; actually I think it's a pretty cool concept. For one, it's a 3D virtual baseball game. Two, you can create your own character and build him/her up from level 0 -99. Along the way you can take your character and participate in live-hosted events featuring: Tournaments and Leagues. Sometimes, they give away cool prizes for some of their bigger sponsored events. In addition, if you get sick of playing baseball in the team structured environment, you have the option to play in the virtual baseball CAMP that features a home run derby, a pitching skills mode, and a fielding skills mode with progression. A lot of cool things for a free game.

Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball delivers a first-person perspective of a character, created and developed by the player, interacting online in real-time with teammates and opponents. Each position on the field is manned by a human player in a 3-D virtual stadium. Players can create their own characters and build their skill level (player stats) through successful play on the field against other real human players. Courtesy of Real Baseball.
