Wolong's Miracle Baby

This is Lily, the 7-month-old panda cub at the Wolong Panda Reserve in China. She's a miracle baby because her mother carried her for 11 months before letting her out into the world in February 2007. She is counted as part of the 2006 batch, but is somewhat younger, and smaller, than the others in the same batch, which is why she is not housed in the kindergarten with them, but lives on her own in the little wooden house shown in the video. This video was shot during my volunteer trip to Wolong in early September 2007.
