Students learn to divide radicals by dividing the numbers that are inside the radicals together. Students also learn that if there is a square root in the denominator of a fraction, the problem can be simplified by multiplying both the numerator and denominator by the square root that is in the denominator. And if there is a cube root in the denominator of a fraction, the problem can be simplified by multiplying both the numerator and denominator by whatever it takes to create a perfect cube in the denominator.
