Junior goaltender David Leggio (Williamsville, NY) made 27 saves to backstop number two seed Clarkson University to a 3-0 victory over seventh-seeded Harvard University in the first game of the ECAC Hockey League quarterfinal series on Friday night before 2,383 fans at Cheel Arena. The Golden Knights (22-8-5), ranked fourth in the nation, and Crimson (14-16-2) will face off again on Saturday. If Clarkson wins, the Knights will advance to Albany next weekend for the league’s championship tournament at the Times Union Center. If Harvard wins on Saturday, the teams will play a deciding third game on Sunday with the winner advancing.
