Rally at the D.C. City Council against the rush to vaccinate young women with an experimental drug, a product of Merck. Merck's recent steamroller lobby effort to mandate a HPV vaccination is being challenged by concerned parents around the nation including right here in the District of Columbia. Parents at this rally are asking The DC City Council for more time to further study the experimental drug Gardisil before mandating this vaccination for young women. Merck is infamous for hiding data showing their arthritis drug, Vioxx, was dangerous. As a result, thousands of people died and were hospitalized resulting in tens of billions of dollars to be paid by Merck to compensate these families. Are we willing to dismiss these recent events to rush to vaccinate our young children?
