I have a couple of questions, about remote software. I am interested in using it to make my computer look like it is a local computer (remotely). Is this possible?
I have recently downloaded DirecTV 2PC software that allows me to access my HD DVR from my local computer. I want to be able to do this remotely. You load the software & it looks on your local network to find any networked DirecTV receivers. It lists them & you click connect to the one you want, & you can view any of your recorded shows. Incuding HD content. I want to use it like a sling box. Slingbox has limitations, & is not very user friendly to setup. Let me know what you think?
